Humble Beginnings: A Boy with a Dream
Growing up in a modest family, Ivan had always dreamed of owning a computer. His father could only afford a second-hand PC worth RM500, which frequently broke down. Instead of giving up, the young Ivan learned to repair it himself.
“I was only 12 years old, but I already knew how to format Windows XP. Sending it to a shop was too expensive, so I had to figure it out,” Ivan recalled with a smile.
From Technician to Entrepreneur
After completing his SPM, Ivan chose not to pursue higher education, feeling that the traditional system wasn’t a fit for him. Instead, he began working as a technician at an ASUS service center, earning RM1,500 per month. The experience sharpened his technical skills, customer service, and confidence.
Later, Ivan switched to computer sales, despite initial nervousness dealing with customers. Through online marketing videos and self-learning, he quickly became one of the Top 6 Salespersons within just three months. Building a Business from Scratch
Using his parents’ credit cards as capital, Ivan began buying and selling used computers, eventually earning his first business capital. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, computer demand skyrocketed — and so did his business. Ivan’s monthly sales reached RM300,000, helping him earn his first RM1 million by the age of 24.
But success wasn’t without challenges. After losing a large portion of his profit in a risky investment scheme, Ivan took it as a valuable life lesson. Instead of quitting, he and his wife pivoted into live streaming sales, starting on Facebook and later moving to TikTok Shop in 2022.

The Rise of SCE Distributor on TikTok
Through TikTok, SCE Distributor gained massive traction. While most competitors focused only on selling, Ivan prioritized brand trust and customer experience. He invested in custom packaging, registered a trademark, and implemented a strict QC process for every refurbished laptop sold.
“Our laptops may cost slightly more, but we guarantee quality, durability, and technician accountability,” Ivan explained.
This dedication to quality helped SCE become the first and only used computer company in Malaysia to achieve TikTok “Mall” status, a mark of credibility and consumer trust.
Giving Back: A Mission Beyond Business
Beyond entrepreneurship, Ivan carries a social mission — to ensure underprivileged students have access to technology.
“Some students can’t even afford a RM50 computer. That really touches my heart,” he said.
So far, over 100 computers have been donated to students and schools. Ivan also introduced the 4 Love Program — Love Yourself, Family, School, and Country, which represents his core values in life and business.
“If we don’t love ourselves and care for our health and knowledge, how can we love our family? Without school, who are we? Without our country, we are nobody,” he shared passionately.
