Ampang, October 13 – The “E-Dreams Come True Laptop Aid Program” continues to bring hope and support to students in need. In its second phase, SCE Distributor Sdn. Bhd., led by its founder and CEO Ivan Khong, better known on TikTok as Boss A, donated six laptops to SMK Pandan Indah.
This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collaboration of Sin Chew Daily, Xue Hai Quarterly, Xing Xing Learning Center, and Little Star Weekly, connecting corporate kindness with educational needs.
A Timely Gift for a Growing School
According to school representatives, SMK Pandan Indah recently established a new computer resource room in April this year. However, more than half of the desks remained empty due to a lack of equipment. The six donated laptops arrived just in time, providing a much-needed boost to the school’s digital learning facilities.
Sin Chew Daily’s Support for Education and Culture
Wong Kok Kong, Chief Editor of Sin Chew Daily’s Education and Culture Department, expressed appreciation for SCE Distributor’s contribution.
“As a media organization, Sin Chew Daily not only reports the truth but also takes responsibility in supporting and promoting cultural and educational development. This project became possible thanks to SCE Distributor and Boss A, who proactively offered to donate laptops to schools in need,” said Wong.
Boss A: Helping Students Achieve Their Dreams
During the ceremony, Boss A (Ivan Khong) personally handed over the six laptops to the school. He shared his personal story with the students, inspiring them with his humble beginnings.
“I came from a poor family. As a child, I needed a computer, but my parents couldn’t afford one. Now, after 12 years in this industry, I hope to give back — to help students achieve their dreams and ensure financial hardship never stops their learning journey,” he said.
Principal Expresses Gratitude for Digital Education Support
SMK Pandan Indah Principal, Puan Norhalina, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to SCE Distributor for the generous donation. She emphasized that the Ministry of Education’s Digital Education Policy aims to nurture students with strong digital literacy skills.
“Without sufficient electronic devices, how can we effectively implement digital education? Thanks to Boss A’s contribution, our school can now better support students in digital learning,” she remarked.
Continuing the Mission to Empower Students
The handover ceremony was attended by Sin Chew Daily Senior Advertising Executive Lai Chok Kuan, Education Department Editor Lau Xin Hui, SMK Pandan Indah Assistant Principal (Co-curricular) Puan Rahayu, Chinese Language Head Teacher Ms. Lee Sook Koon, and Computer Teacher Ms. Siti Syahra.
The “E-Dreams Come True Laptop Aid Program” continues its mission to empower underprivileged students, providing them with digital access and learning tools to bridge the education gap in Malaysia.
